Research Car Park for a car-free campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen
The campus of the University of Stuttgart in Vaihingen is to become car-free in the future. For this purpose, it is necessary to build two to three peripheral multi-storey car parks, which are connected to each other by shuttle traffic with autonomous vehicles.
One of these car parks is to be developed in cooperation with the DLR Institute for Vehicle Concepts as a DLR research car park. The area marked on the site plan of the university as HdM car park near the Straußäcker student union is intended as the site. The research car park will be equipped with electric charging stations as well as a hydrogen filling station and will contain an exhibition area with conference rooms operated by DLR.
About the online teaching:
The weekly supervision meetings and all related presentations will be organised as video conferences via Web-Ex. The students will receive an invitation to the Web-Ex conference by email. It is advisable to download the app from this link beforehand, but participation via internet browser only is also possible with a few small restrictions. The exchange of academic and organisational information is done via the ILIAS platform. Files are also exchanged via Ilias. Teamwork in groups of two is possible, preferably consisting of one student of architecture and one student of civil engineering.
The design places will be allocated via the central allocation procedure of the faculty.
